Here at Quick Quilt, our quilting machinery is hand guided.  We personally guide each stitch in place, and this allows for the creation of quilting details that will make your quilt unique.

All mailed quilts are returned by Registerd Post at no charge.  If you require postal insurance, please call me to arrange.

Please include a work order form with your quilt showing your selection of thread colours, batting preference, pattern etc. 

We do not accept thread from clients for quilting their tops, so please do not include any thread with your quilt. We have a huge selection of plain colours available for your project at no extra cost, ranging from Signature 100% cotton for the quilting purist; to versatile polyester blends for quilts requiring a hard wearing and strong thread.  Click here to see a full range of colours and thread types.

News flash - In 2012 we are opening Pepper Tree Studio here on our gloriously peaceful and creatively inspiring rural property. 

All over basic edge to edge designs (E2E) – $3.50 sq ft (see patterns page for designs)  Great for those economy conscious projects, same design over the full width of the quilt repeated in rows covering the entire quilt, one thread colour.  We have classic baptist Fan or Clamshells, upbeat Swirls, versatile Zig Zag and Waves, just to mention a few, one thread colour.  Some freeform designs available. Thread tails backstitched and scissor trimmed.

Basic Custom – $4.50 sq ft   Basic custom work like spineless feather border designs,  sim[le freehand designs, sashing detail, interperative quilting. One thread colour.  Thread tails backstitched and scissor trimmed.

Advanced Custom - $5.50 + sq ft  Stitch in the ditch (SID) to outline applique with background fillers, feathure block motifs like feather wreaths, sashing patterns, border designs, open crosshatching, moderate interperative quilting, one or more thread colours. 1/2 inch cross hatching , small background fillers like McTavishing, elegant feathers, detailed freehand designs, one or more thread colours, sashing patterns, piano-key border designs, motif designs on blocks or borders, and 'One Off' art work design.

Show quilting - for example; 1/4" crosshatching, intense feathers, trapunto designs, specialised custom work with artistic innovation. Please call me to discuss your requirements.

Binding service-  Crib $10, single $15, double $20, queen $30. Have your binding attached while your quilt is on our longarm machine, ready for you to finish, binding needs to be 2 1/2" wide, a minimum 12 inches longer than the total outside edge of the quilt, folded lengthwise and pressed.

Specialty threads- Add 25 cents per square foot. Signature metallic or sparkly holographic thread, variegated maxi lock swirls , King Tut threads  and our own exclusive brand of variegated 100% cotton threads that will give spectacular results to your project.

Workshops -  Workshops include unique quilted handbag design and construction (our handbag won 1st at the 2010 Fraser Coast Regional Show); unique quilted notebook cover design and construction; exciting new binding techniques; introduction and advanced domestic machine quilting; introduction and advanced trapunto, and more being developed for 2012.  Please contact us for details.

Handsewn thread tails - Add 25 cents per square foot if you would like your thread tails hand sewn into the body of your quilt. 

Extra wide backing fabric - (only available for "mailed" quilts)  $25/m Quality 100% cotton 2.8m extra wide backing fabric available  in most colours to suit your quilt.

Batting - (only available for "mailed" quilts)  $17.95/m 100% natural cotton batting 2.8m wide.  $17.95/m Australian Matilda's Own 60% wool /40% polyester batting 2.4m wide.   $14.95/m Polyester batting 2.4m wide
